We offer a safe, fun environment for children to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Children's Ministry serves children (from infants to fifth graders) over the course of the school year and during the summer. We connect our kids to Christ through Sunday School classes, Friday Night Live, Summer Nights Live, a Children's Christmas Musical, and many special events. For more information, contact Pam Leskovac at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (740) 965-4543.
Children's Sunday School
Harlem Road UMC has a Sunday school class just for you! This entire year we are learning all about Jesus – so join us! Here’s how it works: You will stay w/your parents in the Family Life Center for opening worship (at both 8:30 and 11am services) and leave for Sunday school during the offering. Parents can pick you up after the service in your classroom. We have a mixed age class at 8:30am. We have Toddler, PreK/K, Grades 1,2,3 and Grades 4-5 at the 11am service. At 9:45 we have ‘Fun & Fellowship Time’ for kids whose parents attend an adult Sunday school class. We do crafts, puzzles, games. It’s fun! If you have any questions, email: email@example.com or call/text Pam’s cellphone: 614-507-1577
Friday Night Live (FNL) - Connecting kids to Christ!
Our first FNL event this fall will be held on October 18 – “Animal House” - a ‘Trunk-or-Treat’ event – from 6:30-8:30pm.
This is a free program for kids age 4 through 5th grade. Since this is our trunk-or-treat event – we open it up to children ages 2 & 3– but parents must accompany these younger children throughout the evening. Dress up as your favorite animal! Kids from all over the community gather for a fun filled evening of music, dinner, crafts, games, stories and more. You may even meet up with kids from your class at school. We all have dinner together at 6:45 and then we move in groups from station to station. We make our “treat bags” in the craft station – so no need to bring a gathering bag! It’s a fast paced – fun filled evening – and you’ll love being here! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info! We will need donations of candy – and folks willing to line the parking lot w/their trunks open – ready to hand out candy to 100 kids. Adults: Watch for time and details!
Our 2019-2020 FNL Dates are: October 18, November 15, February 21, March 13 (a week early due to Spring Break) and April 17.
Friday Night Live needs volunteers for
- Meal Prep/serving/clean-up
- Team Leaders
- Door Guards
- Craft Volunteers
(All volunteers must pass a background check – forms will be provided and the church pays for the background check.)
We ask that parents bring their children in and sign them into the program at the beginning of the evening, and that parents come into the building and sign their children out at the end of the evening.

Summer Nights Live is a free community children’s program for children age 4 through 5th grade that is held during the Summer (in June or July). SNL runs the same way our traditional FNL runs – only we don’t provide dinner during the summer event – and we add music to our evening. It is also a fast-paced, fun-filled evening for children. Kate Steele is our Director and we are staffed with 30 adults and many teen helpers.
